sci_Zone earns Honorable Mention Award in 2004 Spring GLEQ Cycle

sci_Zone moves onto the 2005 Finalist Round

May 11, 2004 — sci_Zone placed 4th out of 110 teams in the Great Lakes region to win an Honorable Mention in the Great Lakes Entrepreneur's Quest (GLEQ) for its innovative Fire Eye UAV, the JT-2XL Diesel Engine, and the Flight Management System for UAVs. Prizes received by sci_Zone include legal services, media and PR consultation, financial consultation, and meetings with Venture Capital and Angel Investors. sci_Zone will be moving onto the next round in 2004/2005 with a chance to win more support services and up to $50,000 in cash. "This is an exciting time for sci_Zone. Our vision is to make flying UAVs more accessible for Homeland Security and local communities", says Andrew Santangelo, our Program Director.
